Job Description
We are a food contract manufacturer in plant-based protein.
As the Factory Production Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of leadership and strategic tasks, including:
- Overall in-charge of manufacturing plant operations within your area, from warehousing, production, quality control, purchasing of tools, maintenance etc.
- Developing feasible workflows for plant operations to run smoothly throughout the year
- Overseeing daily operations at the manufacturing plant, hands-on person
- Leading and managing a team of production technicians to meet daily targets
- Implementing and maintaining good manufacturing standards in order to achieve higher efficiency, productivity and quality
- Resolving potential production issues and coordinating activities alongside the team on a timely basis
- Managing supply chains of raw materials, packaging and machinery for existing and new products
- Ensuring new employees are well trained and all employees follow the standards operating procedures
- Conduct trials & pilot testing of new products
- Consolidating quantitative and qualitative data for reporting and analysis
- Planning the weekly and monthly production schedule
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prior experience and knowledge in production planning and managing production operations, minimum 5 years of relevant experience will be advantage
- Experience in F&B manufacturing industry is preferred, familiarity with F&B certifications (BRC/FSSC22000) and local regulation (SFA, NEA etc.) will be advantage
- Passionate about the alternative protein industry and willing to learn more about the nascent sector
- Highly driven and motivated individual, works well independently and able to be hands-on with your team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Good planning, organization and project management skills
- Able to think strategically
