As a Product Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in the new product design evaluation process. You will provide essential feedback on design for testability and requirements to the product team during the design phase to ensure comprehensive test coverage as part of the validation plan. Your expertise will be crucial in developing test plans and specifications based on design requirements, managing project timelines, and delivering cost-effective test solutions on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the new product design evaluation process, providing feedback on testability and test coverage requirements during the design phase to ensure comprehensive validation.
- Develop detailed test plans and test specifications based on product design requirements to ensure effective validation.
- Manage and communicate project timelines and action plans effectively, ensuring that test solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Independently design, develop, and implement software for production test equipment using multiple programming languages, including Python, C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, PLC, etc.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental objectives, including production and test strategies to meet financial goals.
- Maintain and track project financials and timelines to meet assigned project deliverables.
- Create and release comprehensive documentation on all aspects of the test solution, including Manufacturing Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Coverage, and Test Procedures.
- Design test fixtures and develop software for product testing, ensuring familiarity with test instruments and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in software development for production test equipment.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, and PLC.
- Experience in developing test plans, specifications, and managing project timelines.
- Ability to provide actionable feedback on product design for testability.
