About the role


As a Senior Events Executive at The Great Room (TGR), you will be responsible for supporting the events department in organising and executing events designed to cultivate connections and foster friendships.


A successful Senior Events Executive will be responsible for bringing the community together via the planned events centred around lifestyle, wellness, business and learning. The role seeks a versatile and adaptable professional, capable of handling diverse events with precision and enthusiasm.


The Senior Events Executive will report to the Events Manager.


What you’ll do


Events Management


● Research and source for partners and event suppliers for TGR events

● Be the primary contact for event leads for home location(s)

● Oversee logistics, including vendor coordination, on-site setup, and tear down to ensure all events run smoothly and efficiently

● Support monthly community events

● Ensuring SOPs are updated for home location(s)

● Carry out on-site event management across all locations

● Assist in managing the event inventory and equipment across all locations

● Monitor and evaluate event performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

● Recruit and manage a pool of event part-timers, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth operations for all events

● Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance event experiences and exceed client expectations


Events Revenue KPI


● Drive event revenue by proactively identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships to achieve monthly sales target

● Assist in managing various booking channels and customer enquiries

● Proactively seek out new event leads within our targeted industries to drive business growth

● Facilitate sales and upsell events to existing members / building tenants

● Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to create compelling event packages that attract and retain high-value clients

● Monitor market trends and competitor activities to continuously refine event strategies and maximise revenue potential


Events Partnerships


● Conduct monthly research to identify and engage potential partners for community events partnerships

● Collaborate with the Marketing team to create compelling partnership proposals and presentations

● Manage end-to-end partnership agreements, ensuring successful execution of events

● Monitor and evaluate the success of partnership initiatives, providing insights for future improvements


Events Payments


● Manage invoices and member payments

● Ensure timely payment to vendors

● Carry out bad debt collection for events

● Manage and monitor all payment reminders to ensure timely receipt of event payments.


Marketing Efforts


● Provide marketing support for lead generating events

● Assist in preparing event-related documents and materials

● Support all marketing initiatives across content creation, members’ engagement and brand-building


Who you are


Requirements


● Have a qualification in Events Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Business Management or the equivalent

● Interested candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply

● Proven track record in event organisation and delivery

● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OfficeRND and Canva


Qualities


● Able to meet tight deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment

● Have strong organisational and planning skills

● Good verbal and written communication skills; confident interacting with vendors, speakers and cross-company teams at all different levels of seniority

● Self-starter with a good attitude towards learning
