NV5 Mission Critical is a Building Services Engineering, Commissioning Management and Energy Management organisation, providing clients with integrated skills and expertise to match the expectation of blue chip multinational companies. We focus on commissioning of mission critical buildings such as data centres.
We are looking for Engineers to join our team in Singapore.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Degree Holder in Electrical Engineering or related field
· Minimum 10+ years post graduate experience in the field of Electrical Engineering
· Minimum 5+ years’ experience in MEP design in the data centre sector
· Experience of testing & commissioning would be an advantage
· Computer literate with experience of industry design software such as CAD, BIM, ETAP, DIALUX etc.
· Good people skills and time management skills
· Experience managing teams (2-5 engineers) in the capacity of Discipline Leader or Project Manger
· Experience acting as main point of contact for Clients and other stakeholders on large and complex projects
· Experience working on regional and international projects with international blue-chip clients
· Familiar with project commercials including fee proposal preparation, budgeting, invoicing, variations etc.
· Specialist in electrical engineering with strong understanding of other disciplines, e.g. HVAC, fire, BMS, plumbing systems and other building systems would be an advantage
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
· You would be expected to work autonomously with limited supervision from directors, and would therefore need to be highly motivated to achieve the level of quality and work expected of you
· Report directly to a regional director and work to achieve satisfactory conclusions from a highly results-driven organization
· As most design team colleagues and projects may be in other countries, the role requires strong cross-border and cross-cultural collaboration skills, as well as travelling in the region
· Lead a team of junior and senior engineer in the position of Discipline Leader or Project Manager
· Be seen as specialist and reliable source of technical knowledge in your specialist field of engineering
· Be fully up to speed on key issues across multiple projects and responsive to Client’s queries and feedback
· The role may involve a significant amount of site-based work, as well as travel outside of Singapore
· Duties would include design, specifying and testing and commissioning of Mechanical/Electrical systems related to the built environment with a focus on critical systems engineering.
· Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with colleagues, Clients, and other stakeholders
· Actively participate in business development, generate new leads, draft fee proposals, attend tender interviews and attract repeat work from existing Clients
· Manage project commercials across multiple projects
· Be involved in overall leadership and management of South-East Asia design team
· Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment encouraging junior engineers’ career progression
· Maintain good technical knowledge of the industry and relevant M&E design and industry standards
