Job Description:
This is a full time role for a Technician located in Tuas. Our clients is a leading Japanese commercial vehicle solutions provider, active in more than 60 countries on all continents.
You will be responsible for repair, diagnose, and maintain trucks, ensuring all work meets the company's quality standards, such as power steering fixes, engine overhauls, and electrical system diagnostics. Accurate documentation is essential, including recording repair details and recommending the correct parts for each job. At the same time, you need to make sure repairs are done thoroughly, using genuine parts, and adhering to warranty procedures. Keeping your work area clean and handling tools properly is also part of your daily routine.
You’ll need to communicate regularly with team leaders about the progress of repairs and any additional requirements. Continuous learning is encouraged through courses to keep your skills up-to-date, and you may need to handle emergency breakdowns when necessary.
Qualifications:
- NITEC in Automotive Technology or former NTC 3/2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or NTC 3/2 Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Preferred with valid Class 3 / 4 / 5 driving license
- Minimum of 4 – 6 years working experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks
- Knowledge in vehicle electrical circuit diagram
