Job Title: Senior Sales Manager
Job Summary:
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales activities in designated geographic region. You will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with other departments to develop and manage sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit objectives. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with customers, ensuring sales goals are met and timely recovery of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue and profit objectives set by Sales Director and Management Team for the designated region
- Lead a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, guidance and support as needed to ensure high performance and achievement of goals
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development and customer service to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers to expand the customer base
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to stay informed of opportunities and threats in the market
- Manage sales budgets and expenses ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve sales goals
- Provide regular reports to sales director and senior management on sales performance, market trends and customer feedback
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade shows to build awareness and generate new business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- 5 to 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the marine lubricant industry
- Proven experience in sales management, including leading a team of sales professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues and major stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, with keen ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer data to inform sales strategies
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Able to travel within the designated region
- Knowledge of the marine industry, including products, services, and customer needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management software
