About the Role:
Are you a visionary engineering leader with a passion for driving innovative construction projects? We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and elevate the company's engineering and design efforts, from conceptualization to execution. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge designs, managing project risks, guiding your team through every stage of development, and ensuring seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Vision: Define and support the project scope and requirements, from initial feasibility studies to detailed design development.
- Design Excellence: Drive the creation of conceptual and detailed engineering designs, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project goals. Develop engineering analysis models to preempt design conflicts and support sustainability practices.
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Tendering & Compliance: Assist in preparing project estimates, schedules, and tender documents. Ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Execution Oversight: Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of designs. Oversee site coordination, safety compliance, and testing processes to ensure successful project handovers.
- Leadership: Provide guidance and support to engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment to drive performance and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Recognized Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in the Singapore Construction Industry, with expertise in high-rise commercial, mixed-use developments, semiconductor factories, or healthcare building projects.
- Certifications: Certificate in Construction Safety Course for Project Managers.
- Skills: Strong leadership, time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in implementing construction project management practices and skilled in guiding diverse, multi-functional teams.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive with a positive work attitude. Adept at problem-solving and effective stakeholder management.
