Division Overview
We deliver best-in-class performance in our Futures division. We offer comprehensive FFA (Forward Freight Agreement) and specialist commodity derivative broking services to shipping companies, banks, investment houses and other institutions seeking to manage freight exposure by increasing or reducing risk.
We evaluate a client’s total portfolio of contracts identify the market and counterparty risks and help them in their decision to adopt bespoke risk management solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Daily contact with clients and colleagues providing market insight and trade ideas
- The arrangement and execution of FFAs on behalf of clients
- Build and develop strategic relationships with key clients and prospects, and act as lead negotiator in high-level contract discussions, ensuring the customer success is paramount
- Knowledge and understanding of the various activities within the company’s Futures division
- Drive revenue and develop local and European client base
- Assist with due diligence and approval of new clients, and control brokerage level agreements
- Conduct reviews of processes to identify and manage risk
- Attend team meetings to discuss commercial performance and compliance updates
- Ambassador and spokesperson for the business locally at any industry events initiatives, Baltic Exchange etc)
- In time, hire, manage and develop any juniors that are recruited into the team
- Understand the business strategy for the division and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients
- Identify and introduce new clients to the market and maintain professional relationships
- Perform market analysis and provide market insight and trade ideas to clients
- Travel and attending client social events where required
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business

- Successful track record of Futures Broking, preferably in Fuel Oil
- Fluency in korean and English is essential
- 1-5 years Oil broking experience
- Strong commercial judgement with excellent negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent presentation skills.
- High focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident and able to work well under pressure
- Good MS office skills
