We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SRE Technical Product Manager to join our innovative team.
As an SRE Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, managing, and enhancing our SRE product and service portfolio. Your primary focus will be to understand the needs of internal engineering teams, industry trends, and best practices to create and execute a comprehensive roadmap for SRE tools, processes, and platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, DevOps, and product development, to ensure the successful implementation, scaling, and continuous improvement of our SRE solutions.
Responsibilities:
- SRE Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and maintain a clear and actionable SRE product strategy that aligns with the company’s overall vision and objectives. Create a detailed product roadmap, outlining key milestones, features, and enhancements based on internal customer needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Market Analysis and Internal Customer Insights: Conduct thorough research on industry best practices, emerging SRE technologies, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the SRE domain. Engage with engineering teams and stakeholders to gather feedback, understand pain points, and elicit requirements to enhance SRE offerings.
- Product Development and Execution: Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute the development of new SRE tools, processes, or features. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the highest quality and reliability standards.
- Service Launch and Communication: Develop comprehensive launch plans for SRE services, including communication strategies, documentation, and internal training materials. Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and awareness of new SRE features or changes.
- Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of SRE products and services. Regularly monitor their performance, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and optimize reliability and efficiency over time.
- Compliance and Regulatory Considerations: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, compliance standards, and security practices, ensuring that SRE products and services meet relevant requirements. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and security teams to address any potential concerns.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and plans to internal stakeholders, including executive management, engineering teams, and relevant departments. Act as the subject matter expert for SRE products and participate in internal and external engagements, such as training sessions and tech talks.
- Product Training and Support: Work closely with engineering and support teams to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to address inquiries and provide effective support for SRE tools and platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure domain.
- Strong understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, scalability, monitoring, and incident management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps in a technical domain.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies is desirable.
