Job Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, motor skills, social skills, and creativity. - Classroom Management:
Create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment. Use effective classroom management strategies to promote good behavior and learning habits. - Observation and Assessment:
Monitor and document children’s progress, provide feedback to parents, and tailor activities to meet the individual needs of each child. - Parent Communication:
Maintain open and regular communication with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns. Organize parent-teacher meetings and provide reports. - Safety and Well-being:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care. Follow health and safety protocols and manage emergencies effectively. - Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, assistants, and management to enhance the educational experience and ensure consistency in teaching methods. - Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to keep up with new teaching methods, educational tools, and childcare standards.
Job Requirements:
- Education:A Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or equivalent recognized by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), Singapore.
Certificate in Preschool Teaching (CPT) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) is a plus.
- Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong passion for early childhood education may also be considered.
- Certifications:Must be registered with the ECDA as a Level 1 or Level 2 teacher.
