Overview:
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the security operations of a facility or organization. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of the premises, assets, and personnel, as well as managing a team of security officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Security Staff: Oversee a team of security officers, ensuring that all duties are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assign shifts and duties, conduct briefings, and provide guidance as needed.
- Security Operations: Monitor and manage the day-to-day security operations, including patrolling, surveillance, and access control. Ensure that all security equipment is functioning properly.
- Incident Management: Respond to security breaches, alarms, and other emergencies. Conduct investigations, prepare incident reports, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies related to security. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high security standards.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor security officers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Conduct regular drills and training sessions.
- Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees regarding security-related concerns. Provide assistance and ensure a secure and welcoming environment.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on security operations, incidents, and any areas of concern to management. Maintain accurate records of all security activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent in a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a security role, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Security License as required by Singapore law.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of security systems, equipment, and protocols.
- Proficiency in using security management software and tools.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform the physical tasks required for the role.
Working Conditions:
- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- May require standing or patrolling for extended periods.
- Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor duties.
