Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a candidate to join our established and dynamic Pastoral Team. The appointee will aid the daily workings of Pastoral and Safeguarding Team to provide frontline support to students, parents, and staff.
The role reports to Director of Pastoral Care.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent with relevant working experience
- Prior experience in therapeutic or educational support role will be an advantage
- Have basic understanding of Counselling/safeguarding, and/or willingness to engage in relevant CPD
- Experience in using a variety of relevant software e.g. Canva, PowerPoint, google slides, Teams
- Calm and composed in a crisis
- Able to work cohesively in a team-based environment as well as independently.
- Able to manage confidentiality and discretion in handling information
- Possess excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be warm, compassionate, flexible and approachable with a good sense of humor genuine interest in wellbeing
- A self-directed learner, who demonstrates initiative and can work with minimum supervision effectively. Willing to engage in ongoing CPD
Key Responsibilities
· Build, collate, proofread, and maintain pastoral, safeguarding and CWS electronic resources, website, infographics, presentations, simple video editing and correspondence.
· Compile and manage pastoral, safeguarding and CWS resources such as books, art supplies and therapeutic games.
· Responsible for report generation and distribution
· Responsible for procurement and ordering of safeguarding, pastoral or CWS resources and requests for payment of invoices to our finance department.
· Support for CWS, pastoral and safeguarding team in liaising with internal/external CPD/networking opportunities.
· Logistical/organisational support for CWS, pastoral or safeguarding training or ParentWise events, and staff/student workshops.
· Recording minutes of meetings.
· Adhere and be accountable to The School and Pastoral Team, safeguarding and CWS departmental policies and procedures.
· Be point of emergency contact for social worker on home visits, checking in at end of appointment time
· Support the whole school DSL with the administration and input of safeguarding data relating to new students.
· Input Temporary Guardianship information into CPOMS
· Co-ordinate the dissemination of the DSL poster each time it is updated
· Monitor the Pastoral Support email address and check time-out sign-ins, communicating to relevant staff

· Be responsible for reporting any concerns about a child to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
