What is the Job all about?

The Senior Strategy Manager, CBS Solutions & Marketing will support the Vice Presidentby ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of recurring strategic and key operational outputs, and by developing sophisticated strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating business growth and innovation. This role is crucial in enhancing strategy deployment efficiency and implementing strategic projects that align with the CBS Division's goals.


Your main responsibilities:


Strategy Development Contribution

  • Assist in the creation and refinement of high-level strategic initiatives. Direct contribution into strategic content. Internally working end-to-end in the Division. Externally, for example creating and driving deployment of external partnership strategies aimed at enhancing innovation in water and energy savings for building cooling systems.
  • Produce sophisticated strategic documents and presentations that can be directly utilized by the divisional leadership, particularly for executive-level discussions and decision-making.


Operational Excellence

  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of essential recurring outputs, such as reports and spreadsheets on various topics related to strategy deployment and progress, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency month by month and year over year.
  • Streamline and possibly automate processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance efficiency and reliability in information delivery across the Division.


Project Management and Coordination

  • Proactively coordinate cross-functional teams within the Division to ensure strategic projects are implemented effectively and align with overarching business goals.
  • Develop timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications to keep strategic projects on track and within budget.


Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly review and propose improvements to both strategic and operational processes to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions.
  • Create an environment of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions and advancements in strategy deployment. Assist proactively in growing an innovation culture inspired by Gary Hamel’sHuman ocracy principles, throughout the Division.


Leadership and Collaboration

  • Work closely with Head of CBS S&M and other divisional leaders / other key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, ensuring that strategic initiatives are well-informed and directly contribute to divisional goals.
  • Represent CBS S&M and at times the CBS Division in both internal and external meetings, articulating strategic plans and status updates clearly and professionally.
  • Influence Without Authority: Operate effectively across different functions and teams, building consensus and fostering collaboration even without direct authority, to develop strategic initiatives and achieve impactful results.

Your background:

  • Ideal candidates will have a robust background in strategic planning and project management, maybe within the industrial equipment or related sectors.
  • Background in (strategy) consulting is a clear advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced communication capabilities, and a proven record of managing complex projects are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse and dispersed teams and to handle ambiguity and complexity are also necessary qualities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business combined with at least 10 years of relevant experience from a large international company working in a similar role.
  • Positive and enthusiastic personality; MUST have sense of urgency.
  • Excellent strategic and business insight
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced communication skills – verbal, visual and written.
  • Emerging experience using AI as a work tool.
  • Great project management skills
  • Great stakeholder management skills - across borders and on all levels
  • Great organization skills and highly empathic
  • Should be 100% fluent in English, written and spoken.
