Team Head, Corporate Banking (2 Positions)
This role is responsible for leading a team of Senior and Associate Corporate Relationship Managers to identify & originate lending and/or investment opportunities in the Southeast Asian region & Australia.
Responsibilities
o Leading a Corporate Banking team with a special focus on developing close relationships with corporates, FIs & asset management companies in Southeast Asia region & Australia
o Develop & grow a diversified base of new clients & expand relationships to new areas with existing clients
o Participate in cross-border syndicated loan for corporates
o Originate deals, review & present credit applications, review loan agreements, & supervise post-deal risk management (in both English & Korean)
o Review client due diligence & financial analysis
o Supervise credit documentation (in Korean) to meet Korean regulator's requirements
o Review & send regular and ad-hoc management reports to Head Office (in Korean)
o Keep abreast of international lending markets & banking activities to understand & anticipate trends, with particular focus on Southeast Asia region & Australia
o Proactively share market information with colleagues in our Head Office & overseas branch on regular basis (in both English & Korean)
o Conduct deal-specific market soundings to advise our Cross-Border Team at Head Office & other overseas branches
o Establish, develop & maintain strong relationships with international, regional & local commercial banks to ensure good client service
o For Investment Portfolio: Lead investing in Funds (PE, Venture, Debt, Project etc.) & acquisition financing
o For Investment Portfolio: Identify prospective new investment opportunities
Requirements
o Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accountancy, Economics & /or Professional Qualification such as CFA
o 10-15 years’ experiences in Banking Industry
o Good experience in key corporate banking solutions & credit issues in a banking environment
o Good experience in Deal Structuring & Financial Modelling
o Prior supervisory experience required in the corporate banking environment. Able to mentor & guide junior team members
o Business level proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean are required to communicate with Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches. This includes reviewing, writing, presenting & answering queries on credit loan or market research related documents or Head Office's questionaire/data request.
o Strong interpersonal, communication & business negotiation skills
