Job description
- Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financing functions.
- Maintain a full set of accounts for a group of companies.
- Ensure timely accurate month and financial year closing.
- Identify weak internal controls and propose mitigating measures to strengthen these areas.
- Keeping accurate tracks of all expenses, liabilities and projected costs
- Prepare and maintain accounting journals, audit schedules and reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports.
- Prepare and analyze project costing variance, actual vs budget.
- Managing and budgeting monthly AP & AR
- Handle statutory audit, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaising with external auditors.
- Handle tax matters which would include the quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
- Address and resolve issues related to accounting and taxation
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage the finance data repository.
- Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff on all accounting-related matters.
- Assist in any other work as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance / Accountancy or equivalent.
- Ideally minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a construction company
- Experience in the construction industry will be an advantage or preferred
- Good working attitude and team player.
- Able to work with a tight timeline.
- Detailed, meticulous, and able to multi-task.
