Job Responsibilities
- Department Organization & Planning: Create and maintain a flexible department structure and regularly update the business plan.
- Productivity & Efficiency: Track key performance metrics and improve workflow for better efficiency, customer service, and cost control.
- Vendor Relationships: Build strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies), review performance, and make improvements as needed.
- Business Development: Work with sales to grow the business, offer competitive pricing and solutions, and help onboard new clients.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and communicate them effectively to the team.
- Process & System Improvement: Implement system changes, suggest improvements, and keep customer procedures up to date, while fostering a positive work environment.
Job Requirement(s)
- Possess at least Nitec or above
- Minimum 5 years of experience in air freight supervision or management
- Experience with CargoWise is a plus
- Preferably for IATA/FIATA Introductory Course
- Strong understanding of market trends and air freight products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft
