Responsibilities:
· Supervise and lead a team of chargehands, workers and sub-contractors to perform on-site hull painting, cleaning, insulation and ‘O’ level task activities
· Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man hour returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues
· Update daily manpower deployment record and over time.
· Liaise with owners and paint representative and surveyor on complying with paint specifications and requirements
· Attend the daily VSCC meeting if necessary.
· Obtain entry into confined space permits or any other work permit system.
· Inspect and update the check list.
· Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule.
· Prepare reports on job status and project completion.
· Inspect vessels and ensure proper handling over to customers.
· Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues
· Update weekly progress and attend meeting
Requirements:
- NTC in any Engineering or technical fields
- At least 3 years working experience in a shipyard or similar environment
- Knowledge of Blasting and Painting operation
- Understand and able to interpret paint specifications
- Possess man management experience
- Able to make decision, render judgment and take appropriate actions
- Able to work under pressure and respond to changes on short notice
