The Piping Solutions Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing welding solutions, managing welding projects, and ensuring that they meet client specifications and project requirements. This role combines technical expertise in welding with project management skills to deliver high-quality, timely and cost-effective solutions.
Job Responsibility:
1. Hands-On Welding
- Perform hands-on welding and fabrication tasks to meet project specifications.
- Ensure all welding works meet quality and safety standards.
2. Solution Development
- Develop and implement welding solutions and strategies to address client needs and project requirements.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize welding processes and improve efficiency.
3. Project Management
- Plan, coordinate and oversee welding projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project schedule, allocate resources and monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery.
4. Technical Support
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for welding equipment and processes.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate welding materials and techniques for various applications.
5. Quality Assurance
- Conduct weld inspection and quality control assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Implement corrective actions for any deficiencies identified during inspections.
6. Training and Mentorships
- Train and mentor junior welding technicians and apprentices.
- Conduct training sessions on welding techniques, safety practices and equipment usage
7. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, inspections and maintenance.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to welding projects and quality control
8. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with industry trends, new welding techniques and advancements in welding technology
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding productivity and quality.
9. Client Interaction
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide project update
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality welding solutions and services.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial system engineering or equivalent work experience
· Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
· Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
· Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
· Strong attention to detail and precision in welding task
· Physical ability to perform welding tasks and work in various positions
· Fluent in English & German (will be preferred)
