Role Overview:
- Location: Initial assignment in Singapore for 3-6 months, followed by a 6-month transfer to Busan, South Korea, with the potential for a permanent position.
- Project Focus: Building up the Hull & Marine department.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead all phases of projects from concept development through completion, including design, construction, commissioning, and modifications.
- FPSO Design: Design FPSOs, including developing philosophies, specifications, P&IDs, and operational systems.
- Documentation and Compliance: Develop RFQ documents, ensure compliance with regulatory and classification standards, and actively participate in HAZOP sessions.
- Activity Coordination: Coordinate and schedule marine activities, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Technical Support: Provide technical clarifications, review vendor documentation, and support other engineering disciplines as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain, Estimation, Planning, and other project teams to achieve project goals.
- Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with classification societies, regulators, and clients for document submissions and resolution of comments.
- Offshore Support: Offer technical support and troubleshooting to offshore units as required.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the shipping and offshore industry, including at least 3-5 years of experience in the FPSO EPC sector.
- Key Skills:Experience in hydrodynamic analysis and newbuild projects.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Proactive and independent work style.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- In-depth knowledge of marine, utility, and safety systems design.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
