Position Summary
This job is a full-time position responsible for the quality and accuracy of the design for capital projects for the Infineum manufacturing plant. The incumbent will lead the project development during basis design (Pre-FEED) and FEED in accordance with Infineum project management process.
He/she shall be able to work in self-directed as well as collaborative environments, while maintaining a high level of accountability to the project development outcome. As part of the Global Engineering (GE) Team, he/she will be participating in the Global Engineering Communities of Practices (e.g. Process Design Community of Practices) and to contribute to the success of projects in other Infineum locations and Off-Site-Processors as needed.
The position will be based at Singapore BTC site and requires travelling to Singapore Manufacturing Plant, Jurong Island occasionally.
Key Outputs:
• Ensures the project scope, objectives and priorities are maintained during project development phases.
• Leads development of Basic Design (Pre-FEED) and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) with the support of engineering contractors where required
• Assumes the role of Stage Manager leading the Integrated Project Team (IPT) or assist Stage Manager in all aspects of process design work during project development stages.
• Applies process design knowledge to perform design calculations, review engineering contractors’ and vendors’ calculation/design deliverables, perform proof of concept check, apply concept from technical group to plant operations, participate and contribute in relevant safety reviews (such as HAZOP).
• Be responsible for process design follow-up during project execution stage and provide support to Project Engineer/Manager in the areas of process design including engagement with relevant authorities, PSSR, project turnover and assist in project commissioning.
• Provides process design support to manufacturing plants including supporting periodic manufacturing site process unit HAZOPs.
• Participates in global communities of practices to drive improvement in project development process and share process design experiences.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
A successful candidate is likely to have:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8 years of process design skills and experience.
• Knowledge of design standards and codes and process safety standards.
• Proficiency in process design calculations and simulation tools e.g. Pro II.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interface with different stakeholders within and outside of organization.
• Self-directed and proactive worker with ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong team player in collaborative and leading situations with strong drive to deliver against commitments.
• Strong commitment to Infineum HSSE and quality values.
