Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Expansion in China: Develop and implement strategic plans specifically aimed at penetrating and expanding within the Chinese F&B market. Analyze local market trends, regulatory changes, and consumer behaviors to identify opportunities and risks.
  • China Channel Management: Oversee and optimize distribution channels within China, including partnerships with local distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail networks. Ensure alignment with regional market demands and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency in China: Streamline operations to adapt to the Chinese market, ensuring compliance with local regulations, optimizing supply chain logistics, and enhancing production capabilities tailored to Chinese consumers.
  • Financial Management for China Operations: Manage budgets and financial performance for the China market. Monitor KPIs specific to this region and develop strategies to meet or exceed financial targets in a highly competitive environment.
  • China Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within China, including joint ventures, partnerships with local companies, and expansion into emerging cities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Chinese F&B sector.
  • Team Leadership and Localization: Lead and develop a high-performing, locally adapted team in China. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with both global and local business objectives.
  • Product Localization and Development: Collaborate with product development teams to create and adapt products that cater to the tastes and preferences of Chinese consumers. Ensure that products meet local quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • China-Specific Marketing and Sales: Design and implement marketing strategies tailored to the Chinese market, leveraging local social media, e-commerce platforms (like Alibaba, JD.com), and other digital channels. Execute promotional campaigns that resonate with Chinese consumers.
  • Customer Experience in China: Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction for Chinese clients and consumers. Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by local customers promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience in China Market: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in senior management or director-level roles, with a strong focus on the Chinese F&B market.
  • China Market Expertise: Deep understanding of business operations in China, including supply chain management, product localization, regulatory compliance, and financial management within the region.
  • China Channel and Platform Proficiency: Proven experience with major Chinese e-commerce platforms, digital marketing channels, and local distribution networks.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable, along with strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing cross-cultural teams and driving business objectives in China.
  • Strategic and Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong ability to make informed, data-driven decisions that align with both global and local business strategies.
  • Proven Track Record in China: Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth within the Chinese market.
  • Adaptability and Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in China.
