The Role


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused AV and IT expert to join the team at our Singapore office, to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative AV and IT design solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in Singapore and internationally.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior members of the team and wider project teams. You will support the design and implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems across a range of infrastructure projects.


As an ICT Consultant, you will play a key role in requirements capture, technical assessments, and developing strategies and solutions that meet project objectives, industry standards and best practices. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of ICT masterplans, site assessments and feasibility studies, design specifications, all whilst collaborating with internal and external multidisciplinary teams. Your contribution to the integration of digital technologies will demonstrate innovation and pushing technology boundaries.

Through your foundation knowledge of ICT systems based on an academic background with some work-based experience, you will :

  • Support the technical lead for allocated projects, undertake the production of designs for projects, ensuring that designs conform to client requirements, health and safety laws, industry standards and best practices.
  • Design ICT physical infrastructure to support passive and at times active systems such as structured cabling systems, extra-low voltage building control and communications systems.
  • Contribute to specifications, design, drawings and delivery of ICT and their supporting infrastructure.
  • Be part of the QA and QC process as an author.
  • Develop Performance Specifications for ICT using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM, including detailed calculations, technical specifications, drawings, Employers Requirements and tender documentation.
  • Be involved with construction site visits to undertake compliance monitoring roles of ICT works, working alongside Senior members of the team.
  • Collaborate within the wider Cundall Team and external partners, working closely with colleagues of various disciplines to support the delivery of technically excellent and successful projects.
  • You will be supported by Senior management staff within the Team, embracing the collaborative and supportive behaviours Cundall exhibit. This includes line management, team mentors and chartership mentoring.


The Skills


Educated to degree level in Electronics Engineering or Computer Sciences (MEng, BEng), working towards, or already be, a member of a professional institute.

Ideally, you will have experience in the IT field including an understanding the principals of IT design and delivery.

However, we are willing to work with the right driven and technically strong individual to develop these skills. In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage small to medium-scale projects and less senior engineers to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.


You have proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, detail design development as well as lead project meetings. Knowledge of WiredScore or other technical benchmarking for buildings is a positive, bringing your own opinions on how we can support clients through technical journeys. Through this experience, you can support your project teams to design and develop detailed and accurate designs.

Essential traits for the successful candidate include:

  • Ability to take ownership for tasks and deliverables.
  • Capacity to think around problems and help guide the team and client towards solutions
  • Organised and confident communicator
  • Knowledge and experience in designing ICT systems such as:
  • Structured Cabling System
  • Active IT Systems
  • Access Control System, Intruder Detection System, Video Surveillance (CCTV) and other security systems
  • Video Conference and Audio-Visual Equipment, Public Address
  • Design of all assigned project drawings in accordance to company and project instructions (Single line diagrams, installation details, wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • Conduct site visits and assessment, as required to execute design work when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Working knowledge of document production using Autodesk software as Revit.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Well equipped with report writing skills, prepare specification without any support.
