We are seeking an Onsite Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance services at client location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems, equipment, and software while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage on-the-spot challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily checks on the system and make sure it is up and running at least twice a day.
- Check and make sure that the servers are healthy (Storage, RAM and CPU).
- Provide first level support on user enquires/issues
- Provide on-site support with remote help from level 2 engineer
- May required ad-hoc after office hour support if system is down or supporting upcoming major event
- Generate daily report
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems in real-time.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including desktops, laptops, servers, and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning on systems and equipment.
- Ensure all support tickets are resolved within agreed timelines and meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a desktop engineer or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, routers, switches).
- Proficient in diagnosing hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to various client locations as required.
- Able to perform standby duties
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to client sites as needed.
