We are looking for a Digital Product Editor to oversee and ensure smooth operations of Lianhe Zaobao’s (ZB) digital products (web and mobile applications). The incumbent is also expected to understand the requirements and considerations of various stakeholders, and work closely with the Product and Technology team to design, build and manage the digital products to provide optimal user experience. He or she will also play a critical role in augmenting the ZB brand through driving content reach and engagement with ZB target audience.
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Co-creating, implementing and managing a digital strategy that communicates brand values.
- Ensuring a consistent editorial tone across the digital products and increasing brand awareness and audience engagement in creative and innovative ways.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, and managing workflow and processes of the ZB digital and editorial teams to maximise impact and cost efficiency.
- Ensuring smooth delivery of content across ZB digital products through a good understanding of newsroom operations, digital workflows and different system setups.
- Analysing performance data to identify gaps and opportunities to develop and execute new product ideas with the aim of optimising content and increasing reach.
- Keeping abreast of developments in the media and digital communication landscape, driving new ideas, and ensuring stock-take of digital capabilities through constant evaluation.
Requirements:
- Degree in relevant disciplines; at least 7 years of relevant working experience
- Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English (both written and spoken) as this role supports a Chinese publication
- Familiar with editorial requirements, content management and digital operations
- Problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Able to work both independently and as a team-player under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work irregular hours i.e. weekends, night shifts, Public Holidays
