Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Singapore
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in Singapore. This role is critical in overseeing the financial integrity of one of our largest entities in Asia, managing external audits, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of all transactions within the entity, ensuring robust accounting for them and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. In addition to this, the role will support the wider Global Finance operations projects and initiatives, and is therefore a valuable stepping stone for future international opportunities within Vodafone.
The role will works closely with the Finance operations teams across Budapest, India, Singapore & the UK, finance business partners, Tax and various business teams. Other key partners include External and Internal Auditors and Group Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Work with financial and operational teams to provide value added financial analysis (balance sheet, P&L, cashflow analysis) and present monthly to the Regional CFO and Board of Directors where required. Support half year and year end reporting for Group requirements.
- External Audit Management: Lead and manage the external audit process, preparation of statutory accounts together with appropriate working papers to a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Finance controls: Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure robust financial controls and comprehensive understanding of transactions flowing through the entity.
- Acts as the single point of contact for the entity; Supports and coordinate various items between teams
- Tax support: Collaborate with the Tax manager to ensure tax compliance obligations for the entity are met with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with 5+ PQE
- Proven experience in financial reporting, audit management, statutory reporting
- Understanding of accounting standards and IFRS required
