Job Description:
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Cloud Business
Our client is seeking two Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) based in Singapore to oversee the operations and maintenance of their overseas cloud services. These engineers will be pivotal in ensuring the platform's stability, reliability, and performance. The role requires close adherence to internal processes and involves managing incidents, service requests, and operational changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain cloud services for overseas markets, ensuring the stability and reliability of the platform while identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Follow internal company processes, handling incident management, service request management, problem management, and change management.
- Oversee software updates and maintain core system infrastructure.
- Respond to and resolve major and minor incidents, restoring services efficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Provide 24/7 on-call technical support during emergencies, and 5-day on-site support during standard working hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and Ansible. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or Shell); experience in Go/C/C++ is an advantage.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to update work processes and technical documents as required.
- Excellent service awareness, communication skills, and a proactive learning attitude.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese is preferred.
