We publish original reporting, opinion pieces and columns across a wide spectrum of topics, covering political, economic, socio-cultural and technological developments in China and the Greater China region.
The Job
As an English Copy Editor, you are responsible for reviewing content to rectify errors in grammar, punctuation, syntax and usage, checking for style and consistency, and ensuring that the facts are correct. You are expected to work closely with content producers and translators to enhance the readability of the text as well as overall presentation and user-experience of the product. You are also expected to be able to craft compelling headlines, headings, captions and illustration notes.
Requirements
● Excellent command of English, with a keen interest in current affairs, especially in China’s development
● Prior experience in copy editing with media platforms would be advantageous
● Good organisational and time management skills; able to work and deliver under tight deadlines
● A sharp eye for accuracy and detail
● Able to work independently as well as in a team
