Our client is a leader in the Marine, Oil, Gas, and Offshore Support Industry . They have an immediated requirement for a WSH Manager.
Job Description:
- Ensure compliance of operations and works performed by workers according to Workplace Safety& Health regulations and statutory requirements.
- Scrutinize and sign permits & prepare risk assessment.
- Perform daily morning toolbox meeting before commencement work & plan for training / courses for workers etc.
- Update all safety records for workers & monthly inspection for Fire Extinguishers, Lifting gears, Machineries, etc.
- Liaise with Government Agencies, such as MOM, NEA & others for safety matters.
- Conduct safety audit, rectification of the safety violations and advise on safety work manners.
- Conduct daily safety induction and training.
- Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from worksite or work processes, thereafter, recommend and implement practicable measures and safe work procedures.
- Prepare safety talk and plan fire drills (both Pioneer Sector office and Tuas Yard), First Aids, Oil spill respond etc.
- Investigate and report to Operations/ Marine Manager on all incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- On-site inspection during heavy lifting, gas free on-board vessels and attend to rig as and when required.
- Source and liaise with authorised contractors to calibrate portable safety equipment.
- Conduct documentations check for contractors working in our yard and equipment.
- Conduct Safety induction for visitors, contractors, clients etc.
- Inculcate a safe working environment and promote positive safety culture (both Pioneer Sector office and Tuas Yard).
Job Specification:
- Degree /Diploma holder with at least 5 years of working experience in Workplace Safety & Health in Marine Shipbuilding industry.
- Well versed in the local Workplace Safety & Health legislations and other regulatory compliance requirement.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO), Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and certified Confine Space Trainer.
- Possessed ISO Auditor Certification and qualifications.
- Holding the certificate of Confined Space Safety Assessor, Hot Work Safety Assessor and Work at Height Safety Assessor added advantage.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Dynamic, self-motivated, able to multi-mask, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Work week : 5.5 days
Salary : 5.5-6 k pm
