We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of ingredients, help with basic cooking tasks, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Prepare and portion ingredients for different dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
- Help with plating and garnishing of dishes.
- Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are clean and in working order.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
