The Business Development Assistant Manager is responsible for managing aviation training market sales of the company’s products and services. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through positive planning, deployment/ implementation, and management of sales process and activities. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. He/ She assumed the responsibility of carry out the research relating to the organization and collate the information derived from such research towards improving the organization’s business status. Maximize business relationships and establish personal contact and rapport with all customer contact levels and top echelon decision-makers.
Job responsibilities
- Develops the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts for each product based on historical date, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, trade shows
- Increase business opportunities through various routes to market.
- Identify and follow up with new business leads
- Performs sales activities and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with General Manager and Finance Manager.
- Conduct research and make delivery on any intelligence that will have a strong impact on proposition development for any new investment project of the organization
- Develop good knowledge regarding priority sectors, like market routes and trends which enable the organization to improve its effectiveness in the products and services provided
- Manage reports and management information to ensure the company meets up with requirements made known by the clients
- Manage the communication with clients via emails, phone calls, and websites
- Respond to customer inquiries related to company products and services in a timely and friendly manner.
- Undertake and monitor necessary research to provide highly needed support to the business development team
- Updates/ enhances all sales policies, practices, and procedures.
- Coordinates with other departments and company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the related field of study
- Ideally possessing at least 3 years of experience in business development role, preferably in the Aviation / Aviation Training industry
- “Can do” attitude and eagerness to learn
- Ability to adequately perform professional services relating to the needs of the organization
- Detail-oriented person and strong ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
- Able to multi-task and submit the required task on time
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong drive toward fulfillment of organization’s goal
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
