Position Summary
- Repair, troubleshoot and provide advice on mechanical parts.
- Schedule works, coordinate, implement and manage quality service.
- Perform general structural testing and fitting works on scissors lift trucks.
- Provide both operational and technical training to stakeholders.
- Carry out maintenance services and general repairs of vehicles.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of the machinery.
- Troubleshoot crane problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
- Reassemble cranes and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
- Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
- Maintain an organized and neat work area.
- Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and rectifying vehicle defects.
- Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, automotive transmission and engine overhaul.
Job Requirements
- Min. of 2 years of working experience. (Experience with Shipyard operation will be an advantage).
- Fresh graduates/interns are welcome.
- Meticulous and positive working attitude.
- Preferably with hydraulic and electrical experience on mobile platforms.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Initiative, team player, willing to assume responsibilities and work under pressure.
- Technical certificate in Engineering field or equivalent.
- Minimum NTC / ITC / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Technical Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
