The IT Business Analyst (12 months contract) specializing in mobile applications in the insurance sector is responsible for identifying business needs, developing mobile app solutions, and ensuring the seamless integration of mobile technologies with existing insurance systems. The role involves understanding insurance processes and ensuring that mobile applications meet user requirements while complying with regulatory standards. The analyst will work closely with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to deliver intuitive, user-friendly mobile apps that enhance the customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document mobile app requirements related to insurance products and services (e.g., policy management, claims, billing).
Identify user needs for different mobile app functionalities like policy view, premium payment, claims submission, and customer service.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand mobile app trends and best practices in the insurance industry.
- Mobile Application Development:Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for mobile app development.
Work with mobile app developers to design user-friendly, responsive, and secure mobile applications.
Ensure the app’s integration with core insurance systems such as policy administration, underwriting, and claims management.
- User Experience (UX) Design:Partner with UX/UI designers to create seamless and intuitive interfaces for both customer-facing and internal apps.
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to optimize the mobile app’s user experience.
Ensure that the app design is in line with the company's branding guidelines and enhances user satisfaction.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze data from mobile app usage to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Generate reports and dashboards to monitor app performance, usage statistics, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Provide insights to the business on how mobile applications can better meet customer needs and improve operational efficiency.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate mobile app functionality against requirements.
Work with quality assurance (QA) teams to conduct testing of the mobile applications, including user acceptance testing (UAT), performance, and security testing.
Ensure mobile apps meet high standards for performance, scalability, and security, especially for sensitive customer data.
- Compliance & Security:Ensure mobile applications comply with industry standards, including data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and insurance regulatory requirements.
Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure apps have appropriate security features, such as multi-factor authentication and data encryption.
Monitor app security risks and work with the development team to address vulnerabilities.
- Mobile App Integration:Ensure seamless integration of mobile apps with backend systems, including policy management, claims processing, and CRM systems.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the apps interface effectively with cloud services, APIs, and third-party platforms.
Facilitate integration with third-party services like payment gateways, customer support, and location-based services.
