Key Responsibilities:
• Credit Risk Analysis:
• Conduct thorough credit analyses of potential and existing clients, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and market trends.
• Evaluate financial risks and make recommendations based on assessments of financial status, repayment capacity, collateral, and industry risks.
• Portfolio Management:
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of corporate credit exposures, including regular reviews and updates on creditworthiness.
• Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Loan Structuring and Documentation:
• Collaborate with the lending team to structure loans based on risk assessments and customer needs.
• Ensure that all credit documentation is comprehensive and complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting and Compliance:
• Prepare detailed reports on credit findings for senior management, highlighting risks and making clear recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to credit processes and risk management.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments, including sales, legal, and compliance, to align credit strategies with broader company objectives.
• Provide training and guidance to junior credit analysts and other team members on credit analysis techniques and risk assessment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis or a related field, with a focus on corporate or commercial lending.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Proven track record of managing and mitigating credit risks.
• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
