Job Scope:
- Reporting to Procurement/Executive Director
- Responsible for the daily operations of the purchasing department including supervision of assistant as well as providing cost effective services through sourcing, evaluation and procurement of supplies
Core Responsibilities:
- Source for appropriate products and services with the best possible pricing
- Objective to reduce cost and consolidate suppliers
- Keep up-to-date with new and existing products and suppliers’ information relevant to the purchaser’s discipline or area of work
- Communicate and act as the central point of communication between internal and external clients and the vendors, for all commercial matters
- Obtain quotations of both materials and services for purpose of estimating and tenders, in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain and update purchasing records
- Able to manage issuance of PR/PO and provide Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers
- Ad-hoc duties as delegated by immediate superior
Technical Skills:
- Diploma in supply chain management preferred with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Soft Skills:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent and resourceful
- Good negotiation skills
Key Deliverables:
- Achieve purchasing activities and targets set by the department.
