Job Scope:

  • Reporting to Procurement/Executive Director
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the purchasing department including supervision of assistant as well as providing cost effective services through sourcing, evaluation and procurement of supplies

Core Responsibilities:

  • Source for appropriate products and services with the best possible pricing
  • Objective to reduce cost and consolidate suppliers
  • Keep up-to-date with new and existing products and suppliers’ information relevant to the purchaser’s discipline or area of work
  • Communicate and act as the central point of communication between internal and external clients and the vendors, for all commercial matters
  • Obtain quotations of both materials and services for purpose of estimating and tenders, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain and update purchasing records
  • Able to manage issuance of PR/PO and provide Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers
  • Ad-hoc duties as delegated by immediate superior

Technical Skills:

  • Diploma in supply chain management preferred with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Soft Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent and resourceful
  • Good negotiation skills

Key Deliverables:

  • Achieve purchasing activities and targets set by the department.
