General Description:
The QA Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance team and ensuring that all products or services meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. The role involves managing all aspects of quality assurance, from designing and implementing testing strategies to managing QA processes, tools, and teams. The QA Assistant Manager ensures continuous improvement in quality and works closely with cross-functional teams to align QA activities with organizational goals. QA Assistant Manager will report to Director or Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and analyse statistical data and product specs to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
· Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures/instructions changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Provide inspection activities for product throughout production cycle, handle any nonconformity include environmental related event.
· Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting process within each department.
· Work directly with customers and supplier quality contacts to coordinate all quality activities between company and customer to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
· Facilitate communication and collaboration between QA and other departments to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
· Identify potential risks to product quality and develop mitigation strategies.
· Review and update any document related to the regulations and customer requirement.
· Implement and maintain company quality system as defined in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, etc standards including all quality document control activities.
· Formulate and maintain the measuring instrument calibration.
· Involve in new project activities such as but not limited to the development of measurement methods, MSA, identification of special characteristics, PPAP submission, establishment of Quality Plan according to customer requirements, Cpk evaluation and qualification of supplier.
· Manage QA budgets, including allocation of resources for tools, equipment, and personnel.
· Works with suppliers to ensure quality of all purchased parts/materials for company use.
· Participate in 5S activities.
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Quality Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 internal audit cert
Work Experience:
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
· Occasional travel may require for vendor visits, audits, or off-site meetings.
