Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate trucks safely and perform daily checks.
- Collect and deliver materials from industrial areas.
- Supervise and assist attendants during collections; conduct pre-work toolbox meetings.
- Understand risk assessments for each operation; consult the Supervisor if unsure.
- Ensure waste is securely contained for transportation; perform a safety check before leaving the site.
- Report any safety hazards, accidents, or equipment damage immediately.
- Use a spill-kit for chemical spills and inform the Supervisor right away.
- Ensure empty containers provided to customers are clean and in good condition.
- Provide excellent customer service; consult with the team or Supervisor if issues arise during collection.
- Verify collected quantities against the Collection Order.
- Follow customer safety protocols; report any disputes or damages to the Supervisor.
- Notify the Supervisor of any changes or competitor activity at the customer’s site.
- Keep accurate records of all orders and return them to the office daily.
- Maintain truck cleanliness and perform housekeeping in designated areas.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.
- Suggest improvements to the Supervisor as needed.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
- Always be polite to customers, and ensure uniforms are clean and presentable.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license, Class 4 or 5, with a clean record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Help monitor and manage overtime to stay under 72 hours.
