We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced investment professional with a deep understanding of Asia to join our dynamic team. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead our investment efforts, manage a diverse debt investment portfolio, and foster key client relationships. The office location is flexible and can be discussed based on preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Development: Identify and cultivate a robust pipeline of investment opportunities throughout Southeast Asia.
- Investment Management: Lead end-to-end investment transactions, including sourcing, screening, negotiating term sheets, conducting due diligence, writing investment proposals, presenting to the Investment Committee, and supporting the structuring and drafting of legal documentation.
- Fundraising and Business Development: Actively engage in fundraising initiatives and business development activities to support company growth.
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage and monitor the performance of existing investments and track relevant market trends.
- Sector Awareness: Stay informed about major sector trends and regulatory changes in key Southeast Asian markets.
- Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and events, particularly in the areas of impact investment and financial inclusion.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in banking, microfinance, impact debt investment, or economic development, with at least 5 years focused on Southeast Asia.
- Due Diligence: Proven experience in conducting comprehensive due diligence and credit risk assessments.
- Debt Investment Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in assessing and negotiating private debt investments within the region.
- Regional Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the debt investment landscape in Southeast Asia.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong skills in managing client relationships and interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Network: Established network of contacts among potential investees and investors is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or Accounting from a top-tier university; MBA is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or another Southeast Asian language is an advantage.
