The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco:
As the Supply Director for Japan, you will lead and grow Moloco’s supply business in one of our most critical markets. This role involves managing and expanding relationships with Japanese publishers, overseeing SDK management, and driving the growth of our supply business in Japan. You will work closely with regional and global teams to develop and execute a comprehensive supply strategy, ensuring that Moloco remains at the forefront of the ad-tech landscape in Japan.
The Opportunity:
- Japan Supply Business Leadership:
- Take full ownership of Moloco’s Japan supply business, focusing on SDK business development and market growth.
- Lead efforts to sign and onboard top Japan publishers, expanding Moloco’s inventory and reach within the region.
- Conduct a deep dive into Moloco’s supply offerings and technology to identify areas for optimization and growth in Japan.
- SDK Management:
- Oversee the management and optimization of Moloco’s SDK in Japan, ensuring seamless integration and performance for publisher partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance SDK features and capabilities, aligning with the needs of the Japanese market.
- Partnership Development & Management:
- Manage approximately 50 partnerships with Japan publishers, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and new exchange partnerships, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Sign and manage multiple exchanges critical to supporting Moloco’s Japan business, ensuring robust and diverse supply channels.
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Work closely with the APAC Head of Supply and Global Head of Supply to develop the 2025 supply strategy, with a focus on both exchanges and direct business with publishers.
- Provide insights and recommendations to shape the strategic direction of Moloco’s supply operations in Japan and the broader APAC region.
- Lead initiatives that align with Moloco’s global supply strategy, working in close collaboration with product, sales, and operations teams.
- Market Analysis & Innovation:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in Japan’s ad-tech market.
- Drive innovation by identifying new supply channels, opportunities, and partnerships that align with Moloco’s growth objectives.
How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the digital advertising or ad-tech industry, with a strong focus on supply management, publisher relations, or ad operations in Japan.
- Proven track record of managing and growing supply-side operations in a competitive and dynamic market.
- Deep understanding of the Japanese digital advertising ecosystem, including SSPs, DSPs, and SDK management.
- Strong negotiation and partnership development skills, with experience managing high-value contracts and relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both in Japanese and English, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners at all levels.
- Leadership experience with a focus on managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
