Our client, a European Commodity Trading firm, is expanding in APAC, particularly in Singapore, Japan and ANZ. They seek to hire a dynamic Finance Manager with Japanese language skills to support their growth in the APAC region.
The role offers a chance to apply your financial expertise while driving strategic direction in a dynamic trading environment with use and constant development of modern Machine Learning and AI in their trading platforms.
Summary of the Role:
To be a part of the finance team as a Finance Manager, leading financial operations in the APAC region and supporting global stakeholders. You'll oversee key financial aspects, working closely with the APAC Managing Director in Singapore, as well as the Finance team in HQ in Europe.
· Lead financial management and ensure accurate P&L reconciliation for trading operations.
· Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely transaction settlements.
· Ensure precise trade data registration, collaborating with technology and European business controllers.
· Streamline and formalize financial processes to enhance efficiency.
· Manage monthly/annual financial closings, audits, and tax reviews, and liaise with key stakeholders.
The Requirements:
· Requires a finance or business administration degree and around 8 to 15 years of finance experience, ideally from a regional or global set up within a commercial organisation or audit firm.
· Strong Japanese language skills are essential for this role.
· Must have Singapore PR/Citizenship
· Proficiency in SQL and experience with IFRS are advantageous.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English are essential.
