As a Programme Associate, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Member and Volunteer Management
- Inspire and motivate members to actively participate in center activities and programs.
- Support outreach efforts to attract new members to the center.
- Assist with home visits and community screening requirements for seniors.
- Coordinate volunteer activities and ensure proper volunteer screening processes.
- Help with the development and sustainability of the volunteer program.
- Maintain positive relationships with service providers and community organizations.
- Facilitate the pairing of befrienders with befriendees and assess the effectiveness of these relationships through regular feedback and surveys.
- Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions on topics like communication skills, dementia, mental health awareness, and chronic disease management.
- Help organize monthly or quarterly volunteer meetings for sharing experiences and learning.
Center Service Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and wellness programs aimed at enhancing seniors' self-help capabilities and supporting aging in place.
- Support and work towards achieving the HNF active aging goals and KPIs.
- Ensure the center and its items remain clean and safe, including taking on cleaning duties if necessary.
- Step in to cover center-based and interest group programs in case of unexpected situations or trainer absences.
- Participate in ad-hoc festive events and outings.
- Join team meetings and contribute to other operational tasks as needed.
Administrative Duties
- Manage attendance records and registration for both existing and new members.
- Handle safe-entry checks, temperature screenings, and record logs.
- Attend to walk-in customers and inquiries.
- Maintain records of all volunteers, befriendees, and home visits.
- Facilitate access to resources that enhance seniors' health outcomes, including physical health, mental wellness, and social engagement.
- Network with seniors and community partners.
- Collect and evaluate feedback on activities.
- Provide administrative support including managing inquiries, scheduling senior activities, liaising with caregivers and external parties, and handling admissions, reception, and attendance.
- Perform additional administrative tasks such as invoicing, fee collection, cash receipting, banking, document management, report submission, and record keeping. Assist with audits and documentation preparation.
- Support Reporting Officers in preparing routine reports for MOH and meeting AACH service requirements.
- Assist in purchasing and monitoring center supplies, generating Approval of Requirements (AOR), and ensuring timely submission to Finance.
- Help coordinate repairs and maintenance work at the center.
- Manage logistics and liaison for events and meetings, including recording meeting notes.
- Support colleagues with client matters and manage any operational issues that arise.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officers.
Requirements:
- GCE ‘O' levels with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Computer savvy and able to learn fast.
- Possess an outgoing personality, willing to actively engage with seniors.
- Possess a positive learning attitude with good communication skills.
- Able to maintain high confidentiality of client information
