About Us
We are seeking a talented and ambitious candidate to join us in developing next-generation quantum sensors. The project involves creating precise quantum sensors using levitation technologies such as optical radiation pressure, room temperature diamagnetism, and superconducting levitation based on the Meissner effect. These levitation methods rely on coherent, scatter-less interactions, which maintain coherence and isolate the platforms from the environment, enabling precise measurements and full control. The reversible coherent operations used for levitation ideally produce no noise, offering the potential for quantum information mapping between interacting systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Microfabrication (e.g., magnetic particles, composite graphite, silicon pockets, and superconductors).
- Mechanical design and fabrication of precision components.
- Learning to operate a cryostat/dilution refrigerator.
- Studying the dynamics of the levitated objects and performing data analysis.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, mechanical engineering, precise Instrumentation, or other relevant fields.
- Past experience in the job activities listed above is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is sufficient. Trainings will be provided.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- Mechanical design
- Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively
The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive. A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on its prevailing recruitment policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
