Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Ensure all systems function efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Conduct regular inspections and perform repairs as needed to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Analyze and optimize building systems to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall building performance.
- Manage and coordinate facility improvement projects, including system upgrades, renovations, and installations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for building systems. Respond to emergency situations promptly and manage recovery efforts to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and compliance inspections.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities engineering, with a focus on commercial or Industrial buildings.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and project management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy management practices.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
