Accountant - Fixed Asset Management (WEST))

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join a oil & gas company located in the west of Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fixed Asset Management, with specific experience in acquisitions and disposals, as well as group consolidation.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the fixed asset accounting process, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of fixed asset registers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate and support the annual physical inventory of fixed assets.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset impairment assessments.
  • Assist in the preparation of group consolidation reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on fixed asset-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed asset management, with a focus on acquisitions and disposals.
  • Experience in group consolidation within the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
