We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join a oil & gas company located in the west of Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fixed Asset Management, with specific experience in acquisitions and disposals, as well as group consolidation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the fixed asset accounting process, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of fixed asset registers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and support the annual physical inventory of fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset impairment assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of group consolidation reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on fixed asset-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed asset management, with a focus on acquisitions and disposals.
- Experience in group consolidation within the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
