Duties
Electrical Commissioning Supervisor shall be capable of performing the following tasks:
· Assist Electrical Commissioning Engineer during commissioning of electrical equipment.
· Perform pre-commissioning checks and inspections to ensure that equipment and systems are properly installed and meet design specifications.
· Conduct functional tests and measurements on electrical equipment to verify their performance and functionality.
· Perform switching and isolation of LV equipment.
· Monitor and record operating data after initial energization of Power Transformers, UPS/DC Battery System and Switchgear.
· Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions that arise during the commissioning process.
· Perform maintenance on electrical equipment in line with vendor recommendations until plant handover to the OWNER.
· Work with and assist vendors during the site acceptance testing (SAT) of electrical equipment.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the commissioning process.
· Participate in commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Electrical Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager.
· Be nominated as an Authorized Competent Person to apply for and receive commissioning PTW and LOTO.
· When necessary, terminate LV cables and mark up drawings showing any termination location change.
Qualification & Experience
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
· Minimum High School Diploma.
· Experience on commissioning of Combined Cycle Power Projects is desirable but not a pre-requisite for the position.
· Experience with HV & LV cable testing, Switchgear, MCC & Distribution Board testing, HV & LV Motor testing, 110V/220V DC Battery systems is essential.
· Must be familiar with all test equipment and testing methods necessary to perform the basic tests associated with electrical equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
· Knowledge of electrical systems.
· Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
· Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations.
