Medical Dosimetrist
About the Role
In this role, the successful candidate will be part the global radiation oncology team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapist and oncology nurses under Icon Group and working with the local multidisciplinary team to deliver the best care for the patients. The dosimetrist plays a significant role in the dosimetry process and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Design a treatment plan that will deliver a prescribed radiation dose and field placement technique in accordance with the radiation oncologist’s prescription to a defined tumour volume
· Identify and contour normal anatomical structures using various imaging modalities and perform accurate image fusion
· Consult radiation therapist, physicist and radiation oncologist and advice in the designing of optimal treatment positioning and associated treatment aids for the patient
· Conduct all necessary quality assurance practices on treatment plans as established by department policy and procedures
· Participate in clinical research for the development and implementation of new techniques
· Actively participate in continuing education in treatment planning techniques, and advances in medical dosimetry
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Radiotherapy or physics equivalent with 2 years’ experience in radiation therapy planning
· Proficient with 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT external beam planning
· Experience with SBRT treatment planning preferred
· Experience on Eclipse TPS, and ARIA R&V system preferred
