Job Description
- To review and plan preventive maintenance including overhaul for smooth operation of plant.
- To have good maintenance performance and support operations to maximize availability.
- To review regularly critical and non-critical spares inventory and top up accordingly which is available at all times.
- To maintain workshop tools and monitor the usage and replenish them if required.
- To initiate routine calibration and availability of Workshop tools as a good utility practice.
- To plan and assign work to subordinate to bring down overtime.
- To handle contractors as per the contracts without any deviations as well as per schedule and execute safely on time.
- To monitor for abnormalities in plant operations and take immediate action.
- To be involved in equipment upgrading whenever such requirement arises.
- To identify improvements to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency of equipment.
- To draft technical specifications to assist procurement for products or services.
- To attend to all emergencies in electrical systems.
- To assist plant LEW in electrical switching and isolation.
- To coordinate closely with other departments on boiler and turbo-generator overhaul activities.
- To maintain the efficiency of plant and satisfy NEA ISA requirement and bring to management's knowledge for defects and improvements in plant performance.
- To make sure no Statutory/Regulatory non-compliance due to poor maintenance.
- To develop successor plan among the group.
- To support new staff in orientation and train other staff as and when required.
- To identify and plan accordingly for new training requirement.
To provide technical support to project teams for tendering of potential projects. - To identify training areas to improve the skills and competency of subordinates.
- To review regularly all documents stated in ISO (9001, 14001, 450001, 5001) requirements like Work Instructions, Check list, Safe work procedure documents.
- To maintain latest documents by uploading in Share point for management's review.
- To follow the procedures on issuing MRIS, MRS and inventory inspections.
- To ensure zero non-conformance for all audits.
- To monitor and ensure that safe work procedures are in place and properly implemented.
- To attend to regular HSE Site Inspection, HSE Committee meeting, mass safety talk.
- To be part of Keppel Business continuity plan Participate in Risk management activities formulated by management.
- To ensure that contractors follow all HSE activities are performed as per plant’s standard protocol.
- To review and develop Risk assessment for a job as and when necessary.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or plant management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process plant operations
- Relevant functional knowledge on Turbine, Boilers and DCS
- Attended training relating to HAZMAT/First Aid/Incident Management/Work-at-Height/Confined Space would be highly appreciated
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong safety mind-set
- Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented and has high initiative
- This is a 2 years contract position
