The Senior Manager, Sourcing & Procurement is a key strategic leader responsible for driving procurement excellence across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing procurement policies, overseeing budget processes, and leading process improvement initiatives. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with our Management and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organizational goals. By leveraging expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and project management, the Senior Manager will deliver measurable value and innovative solutions to enhance the organization’s overall procurement function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies that cover all classes of trade and ensure alignment with the organization’s overall objectives.
- Develop, negotiate, and manage procurement frameworks, policies, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Lead and oversee the competitive bid process to secure the best value for the organization.
- Oversee and manage the procurement budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value generation.
- Identify opportunities to support the development of thought leadership deliverables such as publications, presentations, and webinars. Advise executive leadership on procurement strategies that drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, delivering unique value through strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Prepare and deliver future-focused, compelling presentations for executive leadership and internal groups, covering multiple strategic areas such as procurement trends, risk management, and process improvements.
- Lead the implementation of complex projects, including sourcing integration efforts, process optimization, and system enhancements. Drive initiatives to improve procurement processes across the organization.
- Take on any other projects or tasks assigned by the manager, contributing to the overall success of the procurement function.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline is required.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in value analysis, healthcare, or service industries is desirable.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Experience in project management within healthcare or healthcare operations is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Good presentation skills, capable of delivering insights to executive leadership.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under time constraints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
