Senior Key Account Manager (Pharmacy channel)
The Senior Key Account Manager (Pharmacy channel) will be responsible for driving sales, building and managing relationships with key accounts, and developing merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and availability. This role demands a deep understanding of general trade channels, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to execute trade marketing initiatives effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key general trade accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor sales performance of key accounts and develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Negotiate trading terms, agreements, and promotional plans with key accounts.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead the implementation of sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share within pharmacy channel.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the CCO Office team to ensure consistent execution of sales initiatives across key accounts.

Merchandising & Trade Marketing:

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to ensure product visibility, placement, and promotion in key accounts.
  • Monitor and manage product display standards, point-of-sale materials, and promotional activities to ensure effective brand visibility.
  • Coordinate with trade marketing teams to design and implement trade promotions and in-store activations.

Forecasting & Inventory Management:

  • Work closely with the Sales Operations & Group Operations team to ensure product availability in line with account demands.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and demand planning to minimise stock-outs and overstocks.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the performance of key accounts against set KPIs, including sales volume, growth, and profitability.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, merchandising effectiveness, and account growth.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve account performance and merchandising effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in key account management, sales, or merchandising within the FMCG or retail industry, with a focus on Pharmacy channel.
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmacy channel and the merchandising landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing high-profile accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with CRM software.
