TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute manpower planning, cost control, attend vessel issues, achieve department targets and KPI
- Lead and monitor yard and subcontractor workforce and ensure safety, achieving daily target and reporting foreman/supervisor
- Collaborate with supervisor and foreman for job execution
- Take responsibility on overall activities during the absence of senior engineer/HOD
- Work with the team to improve current processes and create efficiencies
- Advance planning man and materials including all facilities
- Read & understand technical specifications, prepare job list, work schedule, plan materials take off and manpower planning of yard & subcontractor each given job. Report HOD and update any special materials for special project (if require more lead time or needs to purchase from overseas).
- Carry out electrical work as per specification and to the satisfaction of the owner/class requirement and on timely completion
REQUIREMEBNTS
- Engineering Degree – Preferably in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the marine industry
- Knowledge in electrical specification, control circuit and process P&ID
- Knowledge in marine & offshore navigation equipment and communication equipment, inclusive of Class and SOLAS requirement
- Good understanding in the principles of low tension main and emergency switchboards, inclusive of protection devices, switch gears, synchronization and load sharing
- Able to analyze control circuits and do troubleshooting
- General knowledge in marine automation and instrumentation
