Job Description:
- To ensure that project scope and deliverables are clearly identified and understood by project team.
- Prepare/ review design documents and specifications (e.g. piping design basis/ material specification/ stress specification/ piping support standard/ piping standard details/ etc.)
- Prepare/ review piping documents related to piping material procurement (e.g. datasheets, requisitions and technical bid evaluations)
- Expedite and review/ manage vendor documentations
- Be responsible for piping system design ensuring piping flexibility, stress checking, pipe support design calculations are done as per applicable codes and specifications.
- Prepare scheduling of piping activities and plan required resource for proposal purpose and execution of awarded projects
- Coordinate with Clients, Engineering consultancies, Third parties, Vendors and Subcontractors for project execution. This includes technical coordination, contract management, cost and schedule management and change order management.
- Provide direct management to project teams to ensure that the piping deliverables are aligned and delivered to meet procurement and construction needs and schedules.
- Ensure all design changes are controlled as per project change control procedure.
- Responsible for timely resolution of site technical queries.
- Do project risk analysis and provide mitigating measures.
- Ensure all changes are controlled properly per project change management procedure.
- Regularly report lessons learnt for the engineering feedback system.
- Assist Section Head for bid proposals and technical presentations when so requested.
- Carry out equipment modelling, pipe routing and support modelling using E3D/ PDMS/ PDS/ SP3D/ Revit based on P&IDs, Plot Plans, vendor information, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Engineering Degree in related field (preferably Mechanical / Chemical engineering)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of piping layout and supports, piping materials and components, piping stress and flexibility, etc. of oil and gas projects.
- Major exposures to piping supervisory activities involving engineering design, fabrication, erection & installation.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with international standards like ASME piping codes and API Standards.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling software’s like E3D/ PDMS/ PDS / SP3D / Revit etc. and 3D review software’s like Navisworks
